Piffl’s Journey from an Idea to Over 160 Locations Across Sweden

In the summer of 2020, Piffl's founders realized their vision of making sports and activities accessible to everyone—without the need for personal ownership. Packaged in a distinctive pink box, the dream of fostering a more active and healthier population was launched. The Piffl box has since proven to offer not only health benefits but also a more sustainable and inclusive option for communities.

Now, four years later, the startup Piffl—a part of the Founders Loft incubator and community—can celebrate the tremendous success of its concept! The boxes are now available in over 160 locations across Sweden.

The Piffl box has also shown versatility, serving other purposes, such as providing firewood along hiking trails.

In addition to an ever-growing customer base and expanding locations, the company has consistently worked on communicating its values and participating in meaningful initiatives. Most recently, they joined a workshop with Sustainable Malmö as part of the GOOD CITIES - Interreg Europe project, which aims to promote sustainable consumption and the sharing economy.

About Piffl

The activity box is available to everyone and designed to allow users to spontaneously engage in physical activities without needing to plan ahead. Through our app, users can unlock the equipment in the box, which is filled with sports gear, outdoor games, and workout tools. After using it, just put the equipment back in the box so the next person can enjoy it.
