Last Saturday, during the event "Family in the City," Parking Time was in Falköping to take the opportunity to visit the town where the smart parking app has just been launched. Curious residents gathered to learn more about the new solution, which has quickly attracted so many users in the town. For Matilda Öhman, CEO of Parking Time, it is important to meet the residents and ensure that the launch hits the mark.
"In August, we launched Parking Time in Falköping, and it’s really great to see that so many have already downloaded the app. It truly feels like a strong validation that the solution is needed and is creating real value," says Matilda.
Also present at the event, which was organized by Handel i Falköping, were Niclas Fällström, Rural Development Officer for Falköping Municipality, and Woori Gennemark, Business Development Officer for Falköping Municipality.
"You constantly find that you've forgotten the traditional parking disc, and then you can't park without risking a fine. This is something that reduces activity in the city center. In that sense, the Parking Time app is fantastic," says Niclas.
Woori Gennemark adds;
"The Parking Time app is a very convenient solution; it’s the technology of the future! And what’s great is that it’s accessible to everyone. We want to attract many visitors to the city center, and many people don’t have a parking disc, especially not tourists. Parking Time really benefits the businesses here in the center."
Falköping Municipality is actively working to achieve the Agenda 2030 goals, and they see that Parking Time can help them reduce the use of paper and plastic, as well as create sustainable cities.
Parking Time offers a digital parking disc directly on your mobile phone, making it easy for drivers to park in areas that require a parking disc. The app is free to download and doesn't require any personal information, only the vehicle's registration number. Users can get an overview of available parking areas, start and stop their parking directly on their mobile, and receive information about each parking zone.
The positive response from both residents and municipal representatives in Falköping is a clear sign that Parking Time is meeting an important need. Parking Time looks forward to continuing to grow and improve the parking experience for all its users, both in Falköping and in other cities.

About Parking Time:
Parking Time is a tech startup aiming to revolutionize the parking experience for all parties involved—drivers, parking attendants, municipalities, and/or property owners.
With a focus on simplicity and accessibility, they aim to make parking easier than ever and to provide their digital parking solution in areas that currently lack digital options.
The company currently offers a digital parking disc through an app to complement the existing range of parking apps that mostly focus on fees and permits. The company continuously develops the app based on customer needs, with a primary focus on user-friendliness and convenience. They explain that they work in stages, with the first stage involving offering an initial version to gauge market response and understand users' actual needs. Once they understand their users' needs, they can move on to the next stage, which focuses more on Smart Parking.
